Epping Drama

Our Epping Drama studio is located at the Plenty Valley Uniting Church which is at 180-188 McDonalds Road, Epping, and runs on a Wednesday afternoon.

We have two drama groups in our Epping Drama studio on a Wednesday afternoon. One is for primary school students (we call this our Tween group) and is from 5pm to 6pm, and our second drama group is for high school students. This older group is from 6pm to 7pm and is called our Teens.

There is plenty of parking in the Plenty Valley Uniting Church cap park. We are located in the Church Hall which is the first room on the right as you enter the centre. It’s a nice big space for our drama students to move around. Take your first exit (turn left) at the round about in the driveway and park to the left of the church building. There is a big Westfield Shopping Centre 5 minutes drive from the drama studio great for killing time or getting some shopping done while kids are in drama class.

What do we do at our drama classes?

Across all our drama age groups we teach take-home mindfulness techniques to try and assist students. This helps in managing their emotions and self reflection, public speaking skills to teach them how to speak clearly, confidently and with purpose, and of course we do lots of drama. Our younger drama group performs in whole class mini plays, dialogue scripts, small group scenes. They also do their favourite Choose Your Own Adventure Scenes each week. The older drama group extends students with monologues and more in-depth character analyses as well as developing theatre etiquette. The favourite at this age group are our Theatre Sports and Who’s Line is it Anyway style improvisational activities.
