Essendon Drama

Our Essendon drama studios on Thursdays and Saturdays are at Essendon Baptist Church which is at 134-138 Buckley Street.

At our Saturday morning drama group, we have two drama groups. The first drama group for primary school students grades  3 – 6. We call this group our “Tween” and they are from 9:45am to 10:45am. Our next drama group is our  “Teen” drama group for students in high school. This group is from from 10:45am – 11:45am.

At our Thursday drama group we have three age groups: Tiny for grades 1 – 3,  Tweens for grades 4-6 from 4pm to 5pm, and our Teens for high school students from 6pm to 7pm.

There is plenty of parking

What do we do at our drama classes?

Across all our drama age groups we teach take-home mindfulness techniques to try and assist students in managing their emotions and self reflection, public speaking skills to teach them how to speak clearly, confidently and with purpose, and of course we do lots of drama. Our younger drama group performs in whole class mini plays, dialogue scripts, small group scenes and the favourite Choose Your Own Adventure Scenes each week, while the older drama group extends students with monologues and more in-depth character analyses as well as developing theatre etiquette. The favourite at this age group are our Theatre Sports and Who’s Line is it Anyway style improvisational activities. We also have adult classes in Coburg!!!!
