Craigieburn Drama

Our Craigieburn Drama studio has moved to Mt Riddley College as of Term 1, 2024. The Google Maps address is is 2-30 Hampton St, Craigieburn VIC 3064. This address will bring you to a little pedestrian gate in the school fence, and you can see the drama room from the street. It runs on a Monday afternoon.

We currently have three drama groups in our Craigieburn Drama studio on a Monday afternoon. The first drama group is for lower primary school students in grades 1 – 3. We call this group our “Tiny Triangles” and they are from 4pm to 5pm. Our next Craigieburn drama group is our “Tween Triangles” for students in grades 4, 5 and 6, from 5pm until 6pm. Then our last class on a Monday night is the “Teen” drama group from students in high school. This group is from 6pm to 7pm

These classes do not run on Public Holiday Mondays.

There is plenty of free street parking along Hampton street.  The drama room is medium sized with big mirrors and black curtains, and feels very theatrical. The toilets are easily accessible and next door to drama area. Plenty of space for our drama students to move around.

What do we do at our drama classes?

Across all our drama age groups we teach take-home mindfulness techniques to try and assist students in managing their emotions and self reflection, public speaking skills to teach them how to speak clearly, confidently and with purpose, and of course we do lots of drama. Our younger drama group performs in whole class mini plays, dialogue scripts, small group scenes and the favourite Choose Your Own Adventure Scenes each week, while the older drama group extends students with monologues and more in-depth character analyses as well as developing theatre etiquette. The favourite at this age group are our Theatre Sports and Who’s Line is it Anyway style improvisational activities.

Our weekly drama classes Craigieburn span ages 5 – 17 (prep through to year 12).
